The Game Manual Part 1 has officially been released. Were excited to make this available to teams that would like to start preparing for the SKYSTONE? presented by Qualcomm season.

The Game Manual Part 1 covers everything teams need to know about tournament types, what to expect on tournament day, advancement criteria, and robot building and programming rules.

Wed also like to highlight some of the changes weve made for this season that are important for all teams to be aware of. Take a look at the changes, and make sure to check out the full Game Manual Part 1 on our website: https://www.firstinspires.org/resource-library/ftc/game-and-season-info

Alliance Markers
New this season, tournaments will no longer supply alliance flags to identify which robot is on the red or blue alliance during a match. Instead, teams must create their own alliance markers and bring them to the tournament. The official Alliance Marker rule and guidelines are in section 7.3.1 General Robot Rules, under rule <RG06>. We will post a template for teams to use to create the markers, however teams can opt to create their own within the stated guidelines. Make sure to check out the rule and alliance marker guidelines so you can be prepared for competition!

Human Player Station
Another new and exciting addition to the rules this year is the introduction of the Human Player! But for now, were keeping the rest to ourselves. Stay tuned for the official game release on September 7that 12:00pm EST to see just how the Human Player will be used in the SKYSTONE? season!

Ranking Calculations
There have been some changes to the way Ranking and TieBreaker points will calculate for the 2019-2020 season. Please make sure to read section 4.8.1 for a description and example of the new calculation for next season. Please send any questions to firsttechchallengeteams@firstinspires.org.
