It�s hard to believe that we�ve closed the Rover Ruckuschapter and the new season is already upon us. We open the new season in May for two reasons. The first is to give teams and coaches associated with schools a chance to get setup for the upcoming season before the school year winds down. The second is we simply can�t wait to show you what we�ve got in mind.
Each year it seems we benefit from ever greater support from volunteers, sponsors and teams. We grew 15% last year and the future is building!
Thanks to all who make this possible. To the volunteers to put in countless hours, the coaches (also volunteers!) who work with students and allow this great opportunity, mentors who step up and teach as well as model what is possible, to sponsors who keep the lights on make it possible for this to happen. FIRST is truly a community and a movement and you�re all part of it.
This year the addition of support from Star Wars opens the FIRST experience to a whole new world who may have never heard of FIRST. That will add to our community in wonderful ways we can only imagine.
Make sure you share your experiences with others. The technology, teamwork, and excitement involved is catchy � so pass it on. Also, if you have not heard, we just launched a sweepstakes where we�ll draw two winners for a Rev and a TETRIX building set. Register for the season and you�re automatically entered.
